Journalists play a vital social role in reporting news and conveying informed opinions on topics ranging from politics to celebrities. Journalists work in a variety of settings, from the comfort of their office desk to potentially dangerous field locations, such as war zones.
Journalism programs teach the principles and techniques of writing, editing and reporting. Students are taught to analyse media topics and write clearly about them. To build research skills, they could be required to investigate topics in foreign affairs and prepare scripts for news shows.

- National Senior Certificate/ Senior Certificate or an equivalent NFQ 4 / NCV level 4

EXAMINATION AUTHORITY
- All POE’s get verified by Media, Information and Communications Technology (MICT) SETA.
- Certificates are issued by MICT – Sector Education Training Authority (SETA)
- Qualifications are nationally recognized by industry.
Upon successful completion of this program, learners will receive a:
- National Certificate in Journalism.
